Thanks for the update. I really like how the MC here uses limited force, makes a name for himself, and it’s not cynical or naive. He’s pursuing his goals deliberately with the skills and knowledge he’s built, and this is the best path available. I also like how it’s not all a genius plot, he’s been surprised by his luck dealing with a rival family and imperial authorities. But that luck in encountering a few honorable characters seems plausible, especially since so many others have been dishonest, corrupt, and cruel. It looks like he’ll need all that luck to survive in Arahan.
